Fieldston Open House Nights

This event is usually held, twice a year, once during each school semester. Fieldston's doors are open to the parents and to the general public to allow people and families to have a look around and to gain more information about our school program. These Open House Nights are also held to give updates on student work, educational tips on helping your child study, information on the parent resource center, and to  open informal communication channels between school staff, students, and parents. These Open House Nights are so very important. Research has shown over and over that the schools that are most successful have a high percentage of parent involvement.

Sports Day & Talent Show

Fieldston Preparatory School's Sports Day, sometimes referred to as field day, is a day where we have an event staged by the school in which students take part in many different competitive sporting activities and games.

Fieldston's Talent Show is an event where students and sometimes staff perform different talents of singing, dancing, acrobatics, acting, drumming, playing an instrument or other activities to showcase their skills. Both of these events are held annually and usually during the Extended School Year (ESY)

Extended School Year (ESY)

At Fieldston, we offer Extended School Year (ESY) services that are designed to help and support students with a disability or disabilities that has been documented under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) to maintain the academic, social/behavioral, communication, or other skills that they have learned as part of their Individualized Education Program (IEP) or Section 504 accommodation plan. The focus of the ESY services is to provide the student practice to maintain previously acquired or learned skills that he or she had learned throughout the regular school year.

School Advisory Council

The School Advisory Council (SAC) at Fieldston Preparatory  consists of the community–parents, teachers, students, administrators, support staff, business / industry people, and other interested community members. The purpose of a SAC is to help assist in the preparation, developing, and evaluating of the school improvement plan. At Fieldston we look forward to all feedback in which helps the growth and development of our school.

Community Service

At Fieldston Preparatory School we offer several different community service opportunities on our campus. These service opportunities are for students that are in need of fulfilling community hours that are usually mandated by the courts. In order to be eligible to perform any type  of community service hours  at Fieldston, the student must be demonstrating appropriate school behavior and performing all school related academic tasks at a grade of "C" or higher. This is to help ensure that students who help themselves inside the classroom will have no trouble in helping others outside of the classroom. This is truly a win-win for all parties involved.
